Quality Assurance at Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Bury

Our quality assurance processes are the building blocks to our success in delivering outstanding business and operational performance, technical expertise, product reliability and customer service. Manufacturing Manager, Simon Timperley, is the driving force behind quality assurance at Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Bury, responsible for the management of our quality, health and safety and hygiene systems and the implementation of our continuous improvement and lean manufacturing programmes  
As part of our quality commitment we have invested in an Enterprise Resource Planning system which has integrated the internal and external management of information across the entire company, helping to streamline operations and enhance customer service. Our recent successes in achieving ISO9001 and PS9000certification, which we achieved in just 6 months, meant further refinement to our business processes all of which have improved efficiencies and quality control. 
What Quality Assurance Certification do we hold?
BRC Global Standard – Packaging (Grade AA)
The British Retail Consortium deals with all aspects of retail and it ensures that the product and service the customer receives is of the highest standard possible. One of the ways of ensuring this is through the auditing of businesses that wish to achieve the BRC standard. To attain this standard manufacturers have to meet exceptionally demanding criteria across every aspect of their business and many companies will not deal with suppliers unless they carry the BRC badge.
ISO9001 logoISO9001 is the internationally recognised standard for Quality Management Systems.
ISO 9001 accreditation ensures that organisations have the quality systems in place to provide customer satisfaction, and continual improvement. Lots of companies offer products and services, but it is those companies that deliver the best products and services efficiently that succeed.  Many companies will only work with suppliers that carry the ISO9001 standard.
PS9000is an application standard developed by the Pharmaceutical Quality Group for the manufacture of packaging materials for medicinal products. In handling pharmaceuticals, for consumers’ safety and wellbeing, assurance standards have to be stringent and the PS9000 accreditation is a pre-requisite for supply into the pharmaceutical market.
